Liverpool holds the title of Capital of Culture 2008. How can the City Council allowed this beautiful theatre to remain closed? Apparently the increased rent of £30,000 per year being requested by the landlord is too much to pay. This theatre was full all year round, being used by professional artistes and companys and amateur groups before it was closed in 2005 to be refurbished. The works have apparently yet to begin! Hurry up please

Crosby Gilbert and Sullivan society provided entertainment par excellence in their production of Pirates of penzance Last week. I was invited to buy a ticket to see a friend of mine who was part of the chorus. I expected a well run production but the whole package was very professional well staged and extremely enjoyable.

Jack and the beanstalk. Very enjoyable for all the family! Everything you would expect from a panto.Lots of chances for the kids to boo and hiss the baddies and cheer the goodies. Acting singing and dancing were excellent and you could tell everyone on the stage were enjoying it as much as the audience were. I highly recommend this to anyone wanted to see a great family panto this year!
