There are a number of Indian restaurants in Liverpool and at the minute the Royal is the best of the bunch.Decor:The Royal has recently been refurbished adn now matches the other restaurant owned in this chain the Light of Bengal. It is pleasant inside with a number of private booths as well as larger tables for parties.Service:The staff are very friendly quite willing to have a joke yet not intrusive. Service time is the same as anywhere else - who cares if you ve a few popadoms to chomp on? Food:The new menu is excellent with a wide variety of dishes. I m not going to describe them all but I would recommend the Rezalla. The Royal is one of the hottest curry houses e.g. their madras is the gold standard and it is a must for those wanting to get their curry wings . Overall:Reasonably priced - a meal for two with drinks will cost between £20 & £40 depending which is pretty good.
