Had lunch there recently and was very impressed. The staff were polite and friendly. The pub was clean and welcoming. The menu had an excellent variety of options, plus the prices reasonable given the decent portions provided. In fact, I took advantage of on of their offers and had a burger and a drink for £6.95. All in all, I'd be happy to recommend it.

myself and my partner were very un impressed with the caernarvon pub on the wirral (prenton)were you order and pay before you eat, we were refused to be served as are card that we wanted to use was not signed although we had three other forms of identification to back our identification up. plus it was chip and pin service so all they required was our pin to be entered by use. the young girl behind the counter serving use asked could we not go the cash machine down the road and pay by cash. we asked for the mangers name, the girl then want away and brought the manager back with her, we advised the manager of our discuss, advised that we had three other forms of identification, she then said that she would serve use, we did not want to stay there anymore, again we asked for her name to make a complaint, which she would not give use. i had just been shopping at sainburys before which i used my un-signed card (chip and pin service) paid for my shopping by entering my 4 number pin no problems there and also not refused to be serve no embarrasment. i will never go back here, i would never recommend this pub, i am also going to go to my bank and ask why could i not use my chip and pin. i am also going to be puting my veiws across anywhere else i can

Where to start? Management unfriendly, beer awful for a real ale drinker, children access poor (maybe not their fault). Greene King seem to have no conception of the facilities required by a middle aged real beer drinker.
